Maggie Sheng is an experienced investment management professional currently serving as an Investment Manager and Director at Barings since November 2016, following a role as an Investment Analyst within the global resources team. Prior to this, Maggie was an Equity Research Associate at BOCI, where oversight included four HK listed Chinese coal companies, and held the position of Equity Research Intern while pursuing an MBA at HKUST, where leadership roles included President of the Energy Alliance club. With foundational experience at BP from 2007 to 2013, roles encompassed financial analysis, performance management, and participation in a selective finance management trainee program. Early career experience includes internships at BP and KPMG, where auditing skills were developed. Maggie holds an MBA in finance from HKUST and a Bachelor’s degree in international accounting from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
