James Tringham

Head, Communications at Barbican

James Tringham is an experienced communications leader currently serving as the Head of Communications at Barbican Centre since May 2022, overseeing media relations and corporate communications for a prominent multi-arts venue. Previously, Tringham was the Head of Engagement for the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme, leading stakeholder and public engagement strategies for the UK's largest heritage restoration project. In roles at the UK Home Office and Transport for London, Tringham provided strategic communications advice and managed public affairs and community engagement initiatives. Earlier career experiences include policy analysis at the Greater London Authority and leading educational cultural exchanges. Tringham holds multiple degrees, including an MA in International Relations and Russian from the University of St Andrews and an MSc in Public Services Policy and Management from King's College London.
