Timothy G. Groover, MD, MBA, CPE, FACHE, serves as president of physician alignment. In this role, Dr. Groover leads Baptist Physician Enterprise, comprised of Baptist Primary Care and more than 15 specialty practices including Baptist Behavioral Health, Baptist Heart Specialists, Baptist ENT Specialists, Baptist Neurology Group, Jacksonville Orthopeadic Institute and Lyerly Neurosurgery.
Dr. Groover collaborates with physicians, practice leadership and hospital leadership to development and implement programs using data-driven best practices to enhance clinical, operational and service excellence.
Since joining Baptist Health as an anesthesiologist nearly 25 years ago, Dr. Groover has held numerous leadership positions, and was named a Baptist Health board member in 2014. Most recently, he served as the senior vice president and chief medical officer of Baptist Physician Partners (BPP), a clinically integrated network of more than 1,000 local providers working collaboratively to improve quality, patient experience and efficiency.
Dr. Groover is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and serves on the Regent’s Advisory Council and a member of the Physician Executives Forum. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Duval County Medical Society, The KIPP School, Coastal Community Health, Baptist Health system, and the Board of Trustees of Greater Refuge Temple. Dr. Groover holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee and his medical degree from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami.
