Amir Abdel Gawad is an experienced banking professional currently serving as Consumer Banking & Marketing Head at Banque Misr UAE since July 2022. Prior to this role, Amir held several key positions including Head of Distribution Channels at Arab African International Bank from January 2020 to June 2022, and Head of Branches Network at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait from December 2016 to December 2019. Amir's extensive career also includes leadership roles at Barclays Bank in Egypt, where responsibilities ranged from Head of Region for North & East Cairo Branches to Senior Manager for Business Development & Sales Optimization. Additionally, Amir has worked as Regional Head for Performance Management at ABSA Bank in South Africa and has progressively advanced through various managerial roles at Barclays Bank in Egypt from 2005 to 2014.
