Azfar Zaheer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the finance and banking industry. Azfar is currently working as the Vice President of Credit Restructuring at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), a position they have held since December 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Credit Manager of Commercial Lending at DUCA Financial Services Credit Union Ltd. from June 2016 to December 2018, and as a Senior Credit Analyst from May 2013 to June 2016. Azfar also worked as a Credit Administration Officer at B2B Bank in January 2013 and as an Assistant Manager of Corporate Credit at First Gulf Bank from May 2005 to June 2012. Before their tenure at First Gulf Bank, they worked as a Credit Analyst in the International Banking Division of National Bank of Abu Dhabi from December 2003 to May 2005. Prior to their entry into the banking industry, Azfar served as an Assistant Director at EnVogue Model & Talent Agency, Inc. from September 2002 to April 2003. Azfar began their professional career as a Customer Service Representative at Fifth Third Bank in February 2002, where they worked until September 2002.
Azfar Zaheer completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Decision Science & Information Systems from the University of Kentucky in 2001. Azfar then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the American University in Dubai, which they completed in 2008. In 2015, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Philosophy from York University. Currently, Azfar is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Philosophy with a minor in Legal Studies at the University of Waterloo, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
