Stephen Ward is an experienced leader in technology and workforce management, currently serving as the Head of Technology Workforce at the Bank of New Zealand since November 2017. In this role, Stephen focuses on creating exceptional colleague experiences and developing workforce strategies. Previously, Stephen held various positions at BNZ, including acting GM Technology - Planning & Portfolio and Capability Manager for Digital & Apps, where responsibilities included technology planning, resource allocation, and team engagement. Prior experience includes over a decade at the Ministry of Social Development, where Stephen managed teams to enhance employment opportunities and led initiatives for quality service delivery. Additional experience includes leadership roles in mental health services at Certitude Support, emphasizing recovery-focused models.
