Afua Kyei is the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at the Bank of England, having joined at the age of 36. Afua holds the title of Honorary Fellow at Somerville College since 2023 and has extensive experience in finance, previously working at UBS Investment Bank, Barclays, and EY. They graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Natural Sciences Chemistry. Recognized as the #1 Most Influential Black Person in the UK by Powerlist 2026, Afua is also noted for their contributions to global executive empowerment.
