Saleem Anwer, CAMS, CGSS, is an experienced professional in financial crime compliance, currently serving as a Senior Officer (Sanctions) at Bank of China since January 2023. Previously, Saleem held the position of Associate Director, FC Sanction Advisor at Standard Chartered Bank from March 2011 to January 2023, where responsibilities included leading the Country Sanctions Advisory team in Pakistan and providing sanctions training and awareness. Earlier roles at Standard Chartered Bank included Associate in FCC Controls and Operation Officer, focusing on AML/Sanctions investigations and customer profiling. Saleem holds an MBA in Finance and a BS in Computer Sciences from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, as well as a Pre-Engineering degree from Government Boys Delhi College.
