Herman Shah Shahbuddin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Herman Shah started their career as a Product & Process Specialist at Retail Banking, CIMB in 2006 and worked there until 2010. Herman Shah then joined Pos Malaysia as a Strategic & Transformation Analyst for a year before moving on to Maybank as a Process Measurement Analyst in 2011. In 2012, they joined Scope International as an Assistant Manager in Operational Excellence. Following that, they worked at WorleyParsons as a Continuous Improvement Lead, focusing on strategic process improvement initiatives, training, and coaching for Lean Six Sigma certification program. In 2014, they joined Media Prima Berhad as the Head of Business Process Improvement, where they designed and developed a three-year continuous improvement program and led process improvement initiatives across six subsidiaries. Currently, they hold two positions at Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad as the Head of Process & Operations, Centre of Digital Experience, and the Head of Process Excellence.
Herman Shah Shahbuddin attended the INSEAD Leadership Programme at INSEAD in 2019, where they studied Building Innovative Capabilities. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Management of Technology (Hons) from Universiti Utara Malaysia, specializing in Manufacturing, from 2002 to 2005. In 1997, they studied Social Science at the Royal Military College. Herman also completed additional certifications, including becoming a Certified Design Thinking Professional through GInI - Global Innovation Institute and obtaining a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification. Currently, they are participating in the Accelerated Talent Development Programme - ACCEND at INSEAD, which will be completed in 2022.
