Sameh Youssef Farag Mekhail has extensive experience in cyber security and risk management, currently serving as the Deputy Head of the Cyber Resilience Coordination Centre at the Bank for International Settlements since February 2005. In this role, Sameh focuses on enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing among central banks regarding cyber resilience, overseeing assessments, exercises, and innovative security solutions. Previous positions include Principal Security Professional and Senior Security Professional, where Sameh led teams in threat intelligence, risk management, and information security policy. Prior to joining BIS, Sameh worked at Internet Security Systems, leading risk assessments and infrastructure security evaluations. Sameh holds an MBA in Corporate Strategy from the University of Strathclyde and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from The American University in Cairo.
