Chris Newey has extensive work experience, starting in 1995 as a Finance Manager at Woolworth Employees Credit Union. In 1999, they joined Bank Australia, where they held several positions, including Financial Accountant, Finance & Administration Manager, General Manager Corporate Services, Chief Financial Officer, and most recently, Head of Operational Risk.
Chris Newey completed the Company Director Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2016. Additionally, they pursued the CPA Australia Program, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from RMIT University.
