Shameel Ahmed Shakir is an experienced risk management professional with a strong background in analytics. Currently serving as the Manager of Risk Modeling at Bank Albilad since October 2022, Shameel leads a team focused on wholesale and retail risk models. Prior roles include Risk Analytics Lead in the digital banking industry and extensive experience at NatWest Group in risk scenario modeling and Basel IRB model development. Additional experience includes positions at Barclays, Cognizant, Scope International, and RR Donnelley, specializing in analytics and risk management. Shameel holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in statistics from Presidency College, University of Madras and is a certified Advanced SAS programmer.
