Paul Kennedy is an experienced Chief Risk Officer with a strong background in financial risk management and compliance across multiple financial institutions. Currently serving at Bank ABC since April 2021, Paul has held similar roles at the National Bank of Kuwait (International) and First Global Trust Bank plc. Paul has also contributed to academia as an Honorary Fellow at the Macquarie Applied Finance Centre and served as a Board Director for the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation. Prior experience includes significant roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, National Australia Bank, ASIC, Credit Suisse, and UBS, demonstrating expertise in risk data analytics, operational risk management, and regulatory compliance. Paul holds a Ph.D. in Radio Astronomy and has degrees in Applied Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Astronomy, and Physics from the University of Cambridge and UCL.
