David Vegara is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in risk management, finance, and governance. Currently serving as Chief Risk Officer and Executive Board Member at Banco Sabadell, David also holds board positions at Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalà and Amadeus, along with being a Board Member and Chairman of the Board Risk Committee at Alzheimer Internacional. Previous roles include Deputy Managing Director-Banking at the European Stability Mechanism and Deputy Director at the International Monetary Fund. David has an academic background as an Associate Professor at ESADE Business School, specializing in Banking, Finance, and Macroeconomics. David holds an MSc in Economics from The London School of Economics and a B.A. Degree in Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
