Italo Mejia has extensive experience in information technology, currently serving as the Coordinador de Tecnología de Información at Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador since May 2016, previously holding positions as Ingeniero Senior en Infraestructura and Analista de Tecnologias de Información. Prior to this role, Italo worked at CNC from November 2012 to May 2016 as an Ingeniero en Sistemas, managing IT projects, creating policies, designing websites, and overseeing IT purchases and contracts. Italo's earlier experience includes serving as Tecnico en informatica at CONACYT, where responsibilities included web management and technical support, and as Encargado de Informatica at CECEL, managing a computer center and the company's information system. Italo holds a Master's degree in Informatica Aplicada en Redes and an Engineer's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in databases, both from Universidad 'Francisco Gavidia', along with a Bachillerato Tecnico in Accounting from Liceo Cristiano Central.
