Yury Zhuk is an accomplished professional in data science and machine learning, currently serving as Co-Founder and CTO of Balun Energy since August 2023, where Yury focuses on production forecasting for renewable energy producers. Prior to this role, Yury worked as a Data Scientist at craftworks GmbH from January 2021 to April 2023, applying expertise in industrial data science, computer vision, time series forecasting, and machine learning engineering. Yury gained experience as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Kantify, where Yury developed a high-performance computer vision model and implemented a restaurant recommender system. Earlier career highlights include contributions as a Machine Learning Developer at Cerebri AI and as a Machine Learning Developer Intern at Intercept Group North America. Yury's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics with a Thematic Concentration in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, completed in 2020, and earlier education from The Woodlands School.
