Scott Franks is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in design and development within various industries, including medical and manufacturing. Currently serving as a Design System Specialist and Senior Design Engineer at Balmoral Tanks since October 2015, Scott leads a team in creating detailed drawings and assists in the development of custom design software. Prior experience includes working as a Design Engineer at Francis Lamont Innovations Ltd, focusing on innovative medical products for hip replacement, and a placement at Sandvik Coromant, where Scott led a digital modeling project for cutting tools. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Aided Design Technology from Sheffield Hallam University, graduating with First-Class Honours, and began a career in engineering as a welder/fabricator at Draycott Commercials. Proficient in Solidworks and related design software, Scott is adept at managing projects from concept to production.
