Laurence Valin has over 20 years of experience in the fashion luxury goods industry. Laurence is currently working as the Accessories Collection Director at Balmain, where they collaborate closely with Artistic Director Olivier Rousteing to develop the structured accessories vision for the brand. Laurence also works closely with the studio teams dedicated to shoes, bags, and accessories, as well as with merchandising, communication, and operations.
In 2013, Laurence founded Laurence Valin Consulting, where they serve as a consultant in accessories for the fashion industry. Laurence leads an accessories design studio, manages a product development team, and has extensive experience as a product manager.
Before founding their consulting business, Laurence held various roles in renowned fashion houses. Laurence worked at Givenchy from 2010 to 2012 as the Responsible for Women's Handbags, where they directed the bags collection and was the main link between Riccardo Tisci and the studio. At Jean-Paul Gaultier, they served as the Product Manager for Leather Goods and Shoes from 2009 to 2010. Laurence also served as the Product Manager for Leather Goods at Sonia Rykiel from 2005 to 2009, the Product Manager for Accessories at Roger Vivier in 2004, and the Responsible for Accessories Collections at Jean-Charles de Castelbajac from 2000 to 2002. Laurence began their career as a Product Manager for Accessories at Ines de la Fressange from 1995 to 2000.
Additionally, Laurence has experience in education and has taught at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.

Laurence Valin completed their education in a chronological manner. Their first educational experience was in 1992 when they obtained a Baccalaureat C degree in Mathematics and Physics. In the same year, Laurence Valin also started their studies at ISEM groupe Esmod, where they pursued a Bac +3 degree in Fashion, which lasted until 1995. Continuing their educational journey in 1998, they completed an MBA specializing in Luxury Brand Marketing and International Management at ISML. Through these educational experiences, Laurence Valin developed expertise in various fields including Luxury Goods, Fashion, Mathematics, and Physics.
