Dawn Tang has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Senior Sales Executive at Balmain since September 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Zara (Inditex) as a Senior Sales Executive from August 2015 to August 2018. Before their role at Zara, Dawn was at Bulgari where they worked as a Repair Planner from March 2015 to May 2015 and as a Customer Service Representative from December 2014 to March 2015. Dawn also gained experience as a Marketing Intern at AWCG Pte Ltd (JRunway) from May 2013 to July 2013. In addition, Dawn worked as a part-time Event Coordinator at Jig Asia Entertainment in October 2012. Dawn'searliest work experience was as a Constituency Support Officer (CSO) at People's Association (Anchorvale Community Club) from January 2010 to June 2010.

Dawn Tang completed their secondary education at CHIJ Toa Payoh Secondary School from 2004 to 2007, where they studied a range of subjects including English Language, Math, Add Math, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and Combined Humanities. Dawn then pursued their GCE 'A' Level education at St Andrew's Junior College from 2008 to 2009. Dawn'ssubjects in college included H1 General Paper, H1 Economics, H2 Chemistry, H2 Mathematics, and H2 Biology. Finally, they obtained their Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours degree in Communications & New Media from the National University of Singapore (NUS), where they studied from 2010 to 2014.
