Colin Sillman is a skilled civil and structural engineer with extensive experience spanning over three decades in various leadership roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Balfour Beatty plc since October 2021, Colin previously held the position of Senior Civil Designer. Prior to that, Colin was a Structural Engineer and Director at CRS Consulting (Pty) Ltd, leading projects in steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation design for industrial applications. Additional roles include Senior Engineer at MPW Steel/Talmac Engineering, Design Engineer at Consolidated Power Projects, and Structural Engineer at Andrew Wireless Solutions. Colin's career includes significant managerial and project oversight responsibilities at Iscor Vanderbijlpark Works, where Colin implemented large-scale CAPEX projects. Colin holds an M.Phil in Civil Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, as well as additional qualifications in management and civil engineering.
