Daniel Norwood possesses extensive experience in municipal governance, community service, and political engagement. Currently serving as a Legislative Policy Committee Member for the Maine Municipal Association and a Selectman for the Town of Acton, Daniel also contributes to the Mary Grant Nature Preserve Committee. Active in the Maine Democratic Party, Daniel holds roles on the Rules Committee, Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee, and has been involved with the York County Democratic Committee and as Vice Chair of the Acton Democratic Committee. Additionally, Daniel has work experience as a Youth Educator for Caring Unlimited, organizing events for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, and previously served on various committees and boards. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Human Development and dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Maine.
