Clarence Evans, ITIL

Director of IT at Balcones Resources

Clarence Evans has a diverse IT work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Clarence started their career in 2001 at Service Group Insurance & Financial Services, where they worked as an IT Service Manager and Continual Service Improvement Manager. In this role, they collaborated with business departments to align IT services with changing business needs. Clarence also implemented improvements that supported business processes, resulting in visual mapping of IT services.

In 2005, Clarence was promoted to the position of IT Operations Manager and Senior Systems Administrator at the same company. In this role, they led a team of network administrators, system administrators, desktop support, and help desk technicians. Clarence gradually delegated system administration tasks, resulting in knowledge transfers, balanced workloads, and staff promotions. Clarence also coached their team to approach network infrastructure maintenance proactively rather than reactively.

In 2015, Clarence moved to Balcones Resources, where they served as the Director of IT. Their responsibilities in this role are not specified, but they have been working at this company since 2018.

Additionally, Clarence has worked as a Technical Consultant at the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool, maintaining and administering the AS/400 and Lotus Domino Server environments. Clarence also worked as an iSeries Administrator at First Community Services.

Clarence Evans, ITIL, obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems from Grambling State University. These certifications include ITIL Foundation, ITIL Service Design, ITIL Service Transition, ITIL Service Operation, ITIL Service Strategy, and ITIL Continual Service Improvement. Clarence obtained their ITIL certifications between August 2015 and January 2016.
