David Wood, PE, has extensive experience in structural engineering, currently serving as a Principal Engineer at BakerRisk since 2011. In this role, David specializes in the structural response of facilities to blast and impulsive loading, retrofitting for anti-terrorism force protection, and progressive collapse mitigation, alongside conducting accident investigations and risk assessments for various industrial settings. Prior to BakerRisk, David was a Principal and Co-Founder of YMW Consultants, LLC from 2008 to 2011. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
