Curtis Shelast is an experienced executive in the chemical industry, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Americas General Manager at Bakelite Synthetics since May 2021. Prior to this role, Curtis held the position of Vice-President Global Procurement in the Forest Products Division at Hexion Inc. from November 1988 to May 2021, a company that has undergone several name changes, including Borden Chemical, Hexion Specialty Chemicals, and Momentive Specialty Chemicals. Curtis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta between 1979 and 1983.
