Lacey Birnbaum, PhD, is a consultant at Bain & Company since October 2022, bringing a solid background in bioengineering and biomedical engineering. Prior experience includes roles as a graduate research assistant at both the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University from September 2017 to September 2022. Lacey conducted undergraduate research at the University of Delaware, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and A.I. Dupont/Nemours Hospital for Children, focusing on biomaterials, non-viral gene therapy, and pediatric obesity. Lacey earned a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from both the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University, following an Honors Bachelor's of Science with Distinction in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a High School Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sussex Technical High School.
