Varghese George has been in the apparel industry for over 17 years. Varghese began their career in 2004 as a Merchandiser at SONAL GARMENTS. In 2007, they moved to Bombay Rayon Fashions Limited as a Senior Merchandiser where they developed new product packages, followed up with buyers and factories, and ensured that strike offs matched artwork. In 2010, they joined Gear for Sports as Senior Merchandiser - INDIA OFFICE, where they handled the entire merchandising responsibility from initial development to costing, proto samples, approval, testing and shipment. In 2013, they became Merchandise Manager at DC APPARELS PRIVATE LIMITED, where they worked as a Sr. Merchandiser. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Director at Backchannel.

Varghese George has completed a PGDCA in Computer Science from Sethupathi ITI and a Quality Assurance course from the International Institute of Quality Assurance.
