Doru Luchian has a diverse work experience in the field of HR, with significant roles in various companies. Doru started their career at Vodafone, where they worked as a Trainer and later as a Learning and Capability Development Consultant. Doru then became an HR Business Partner for Customer Operations at Vodafone Romania before taking on the role of Manager of Learning and Development at Vodafone Shared Services.
In 2015, Doru joined eMAG as the People Development Lead & HR Business Partner for Finance & International Development. Doru later became the Regional Talent Lead & HRBP for International Development, overseeing HR processes and talent development in Bulgaria, Hungary, and Poland. Doru was responsible for building talent development programs, selecting key individuals for management positions, and implementing the Future 25 program aimed at identifying future leaders.
Currently, Doru is working at Babbel as the Head of HR - P&O Business Operations. Doru previously held the position of Team Lead - P&O Business Partners (HRBPs), where they led a team of HRBPs and supported the HR Director in creating the HR strategy for 2021. Doru played a crucial role in partnering with the Works Council, supporting the Salary Benchmarking project, driving organizational structure changes, and aligning the HR teams with the business areas.

Doru Luchian earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication and Public Relations from the West University of Timisoara between 2004 and 2008. Prior to that, they attended The "Carmen Sylva" Pedagogical High-school from 2000 to 2004, focusing on Social Sciences. In addition, they obtained certifications as an ACSTH Certified Coach from Mind Learners in 2018 and as an SDI (Strengths Deployment Inventory) Level I and Level 2 - Certified Facilitator from TotalSDI in 2018.
