Tom Stian Haugerud has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Tom Stian began their career as a "Betjening av kasse - Sommervikar" at Marker Sparebank in 1998. Tom Stian then worked as a "Finansrådgiver" at Storebrand from 1998 to 2001. Tom Stian joined Orkla ASA in 2002 and served as a "Financial Consultant" until 2006, after which they became the "Manager Cash Management" until 2008. Tom Stian then worked at Aktiv Kapital ASA as the "Group Treasurer" from 2008 to 2009 and later became the "Vice President Finance" until 2015. From 2014 to 2015, they were the CEO/Managing Director at AK Nordic AB. Finally, they joined B2Holding ASA as the "Chief Compliance Officer" from 2015 to 2017 and is currently the "Chief Finance and Treasurer" at the same company.

Tom Stian Haugerud completed their education at two institutions. From 1997 to 2002, they attended BI Norwegian Business School and obtained a degree in Siviløkonom. During this time, they focused on the field of study related to Macro and Finance. Additionally, they spent the academic year 2001-2002 at emlyon business school, where they engaged in an exchange program for half a year. The primary area of study during their exchange was International Finance.
