Phil Cumming is the current Multinational Company Subcommittee at B Lab. Phil has a long and varied history with many different companies. Their first notable position was Senior Sustainability Manager at Marks and Spencer from March 2015 to June 2019. In this role, Phil was responsible for developing and managing Marks and Spencer's sustainable business strategy. From there, Phil went on to be the Global Head of CSR & Sustainability for Walgreens Boots Alliance from June 2019 to January 2022. In this role, Phil was responsible for the CSR & Sustainability function for Walgreens Boots Alliance's brands located across Europe, Asia, and the US. Most recently, Phil has taken on the role of Multinational Company Subcommittee at B Lab. In this role, Phil is responsible for overseeing the activities of multinational companies in order to ensure their compliance with B Lab's standards.

Phil Cumming has a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Pollution Control from the University of Derby, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Studies & Geography from the same school. Phil also has certification from the IEMA in Fellow, from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals in Certified ISSP Sustainability Associate (ISSP-SA), from the ICRS | The Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability in Founding Member & Fellow, from the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) in Chartered Resources and Waste Manager, from the Society for the Environment in Chartered Environmentalist, from the IEMA in Registered Environmental Auditor, from the PB Global Certification & Recognition Programme in Certified Project Manager, and from the PB Global Recognition Programme for Recognising and Fostering Technical Excellence in Professional Associate (Environmental Science).
