Dimitri Van Soens is the Group M&A Director at Azelis, a prominent specialty chemicals and food ingredients supplier, since February 2021. With a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, Dimitri previously served as M&A Manager at ING Belgium from September 2011 to February 2021, specializing in leveraged buyouts for private equity clients and focusing on structured acquisition finance. Early career experiences include roles as VP in structured finance with a concentration on energy, transport, and infrastructure, along with positions involving wholesale banking and internships in real estate finance and credit derivatives. Dimitri holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Engineering, finance from the University of Antwerp and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
