Rik Devaere is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in economic policy advising and management within the healthcare sector. Since May 2013, Rik has served as a bedrijfseconomisch beleidsadviseur at AZ Delta, overseeing SAP-related purchasing and logistics, data analysis, and capital budgeting. Prior roles include manager of purchasing and logistics and project manager specializing in government relations. Prior to AZ Delta, Rik worked as the economic director at H.-Hartziekenhuis Roeselare Menen, focusing on investments in construction and purchasing. Additional experience includes a role as a social worker at OCMW Kortrijk. Rik holds advanced degrees in hospital sciences and economics from Ghent University and KU Leuven, respectively, along with a qualification in social work from Katholieke Hogeschool Zuid-West-Vlaanderen.
