Simonne Vermeylen has extensive experience in strategic management and advisory roles, currently serving as a member of the board at AZ Alma and Herita since 2019 and 2016, respectively. Previously held positions include member of the advisory board at Kelvin Solutions from 2020 to 2023, and strategic advisor at Sun Tzu - strategiecoaching from 2000 to 2020. Simonne has a strong academic background, having been a professor of strategic management and decision-making at KU Leuven from 2001 to 2018 and a senior researcher at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School from 1988 to 1999. Early career experience includes Second Vice-President of Corporate Account Management at Continental Bank from 1975 to 1984. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Philosophy from KU Leuven, a Master in General Management from Vlerick Business School, and a Master's in Law from KU Leuven.
