David Frick has more than 40 years of experience in surface and groundwater hydrology and hydraulics. He managed a wide range of projects and is experienced in developing drainage master plans, drainage planning, and floodplain studies. He conducted studies for municipalities, counties, and state and federal agencies, including the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
He supervised the design and construction of drainage and flood control projects, dams, stormwater detention facilities, and site development projects. He is experienced on numerous design projects for dams, roads, and utilities. This experience ranges from initial field investigations through all phases of design, including construction management. He worked on research projects in remote sensing of snowpack and soil moisture and has conducted computer simulations of water distribution systems, groundwater aquifers, and surface water hydrology.
He received an Instructor of Excellence award from the National Highway Institute (NHI) for my teaching in fiscal 2019.
