Kate Lanza, Ph.D., currently serves as a Medical Science Liaison at Axsome Therapeutics, Inc., since May 2024, after similar roles at NS Pharma, Inc., where clinical and scientific presentations were delivered to key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) across various specialties, while fostering collaborations related to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. As Chair of Communications for Women In Bio from June 2021 to May 2024, Kate developed marketing materials and coordinated events to enhance organizational outreach. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, focusing on neuronal mechanisms in movement control, and a Graduate Student Research Assistant role at Binghamton University that led to 13 peer-reviewed publications. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience and a Master's in Psychology from Binghamton University, as well as a Bachelor's in Neuroscience & Psychology from Syracuse University.
