Sam Walsh is an experienced professional in the renewable energy insurance sector, currently serving as the Head of US Renewable Energy and Senior Underwriter at AXIS Capital since January 2020. Previously, Sam held the position of Senior Vice President of Underwriting at GCube Insurance Services, Inc. from December 2009 to November 2019, focusing on insurance for commercial and utility-scale renewable energy projects. Sam's early career includes an internship at the World Wildlife Fund, where research analysis on environmental issues and event coordination were key responsibilities. Sam earned a BA in Economics and International Studies, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Miami between 2005 and 2008, along with additional educational experiences at American University and the University of Virginia.
