Aïda Amer is an experienced visual editor and illustrator, currently serving as the Associate Visuals Editor for Photography at Axios since October 2018, where responsibilities include conceptualizing editorial illustrations and sourcing photography. Prior roles encompass positions as Senior Editorial Illustrator and Editorial Illustrator at Interbrand, and a Visuals Fellow at Atlas Obscura, where Aïda focused on editorial design and visual article writing. Additional freelance work includes branding design for Purpose PBC, graphic design for Oath and The Wall Street Journal, and production roles at various companies. Aïda holds a Master’s degree in Journalism–Strategic Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications from Clemson University, complemented by studies at the International Center of Photography School.
