Michael Retherford, EIT, is a Staff Mechanical Engineer at Axiom Space since October 2022, previously serving as a Senior Ground Support Equipment Engineer. Prior experience includes working as a Tooling Engineer II at SpaceX and a Mechanical Engineer at Jacobs, where support was provided for NASA projects related to the Johnson Space Center Engineering and Technical Services contract. Michael's career also encompasses roles at HX5, LLC, and Bastion Technologies, where contributions were made to various design projects, including the Boeing CST-100 mockup and Capsule Trainer. Earlier roles included an Engineering Intern position at Bastion Technologies Oil & Gas and a Research Intern position at Genscape, Inc. Michael holds dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Mathematics from the University of Houston.
