Kate Long is a trustee at Alta Vista School. Kate was previously a co-teacher at The Nueva School from August 2017 to June 2019, a lead teacher at Ascend International School from July 2015 to June 2017, and a summer school teacher at University Child Development School from June 2017 to August 2017. Kate was also a resident teacher at University Child Development School from August 2014 to June 2015 and a lead teacher at Lakeside School from June 2014 to July 2014. Prior to that, they were a freelance child care provider from August 2013 to June 2014 and a server assistant at The Pink Door from June 2010 to September 2010.

Kate Long has a Master's degree in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco, a Bachelor's Degree in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General from the University of Oregon, and a High School diploma from Seattle Academy.
