Dr. Ronald Berger serves as a Medical Advisor to Avive and is one of the company’s clinical experts for interaction with the FDA. He serves as the Chief of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Berger has nearly 250 papers published in peer-reviewed medical journals and holds over 30 patents in the fields of arrhythmia detection, catheter ablation, defibrillation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitations. Finally, he has received numerous honors including a FIRST award from the NIH and an Established Investigator Award from the American Heart Association. Dr. Berger received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT, his M.D. from Harvard University, and completed his Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.
