Yu Yan Kwan has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Currently, they are serving as a Senior Research Associate in Chemistry at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. Yu Yan joined this position in January 2022.

Prior to their current role, Yu Yan Kwan worked at UC San Diego from 2019 to 2022. During this period, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher from January 2020 to January 2022. Yu Yan also served as a Teaching Assistant from September to December 2020 and as an Undergraduate Student Researcher from March to December 2019.

Before their time at UC San Diego, Yu Yan Kwan worked as an Undergraduate Student Research Assistant at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from June to September 2018.

Yu Yan initiated their professional journey as an Office Assistant at AFP from June to September 2016.

Yu Yan Kwan completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular Biology at UC San Diego from 2016 to 2020. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology, General at the University of California San Diego, which they completed from 2020 to 2021.
