Christopher Larywon has a diverse range of work experience. Christopher is currently working as an Associate Scientist at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. since February 2022.
Prior to this, Christopher worked at Pfizer for 4 years from October 2018 to February 2022. Christopher held the position of Senior Associate Scientist and was involved in various tasks including screening drug candidates, determining drug pharmacological parameters, investigating MOA and target validation, and working with both immortal and primary cells. Christopher also developed assays for measuring target engagement, cell biomarkers, intracellular binding rates, biochemical binding affinity, degradation, cytotoxicity, and more. Christopher utilized techniques such as Western, WES, ELISA, MSD multiplex, HTRF, gene reporter assays, cytotoxicity assays, HiBiT detection, and more. Moreover, Christopher was involved in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, CRISPR, siRNA knockdowns, transfections, and designing CRISPR RNAs, PCR primers, plasmids, etc.
Prior to their work at Pfizer, Christopher worked at Intertek from March 2017 to October 2018 in roles such as Analyst/Scientist and Sample Coordinator/Associate Project Coordinator. In these positions, they developed and validated ligand-binding assays, troubleshooted and corrected issues with immunoassays, performed various protein analysis techniques, ran cell-based assays, and purified protein solutions.
Before this, Christopher worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Pharmscript from January 2016 to April 2016.
In addition, Christopher has experience as a College and High School Tutor at Binghamton University and Upward Bound from August 2015 to April 2016.
Furthermore, Christopher gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Binghamton University from May 2015 to January 2016, as a Teacher Assistant from January 2015 to May 2015, and in various lab roles from September 2012 to December 2014.
Lastly, Christopher had a role as Guest Services at Playland Amusement Park from June 2012 to August 2012.
Christopher Larywon attended Binghamton University from 2011 to 2015, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Integrative Neuroscience.
