Ghazal Aghvami is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Avetta since March 2016, Ghazal Aghvami has developed front-end software for the Avetta platform using the Elm functional programming language and has managed development related to GraphQL. Prior to this role, Ghazal Aghvami operated a franchise of aroma espresso bar from 2011 to 2014, where exceptional team management and budget oversight were demonstrated. Ghazal Aghvami began a career in the food and beverage industry as a barista, quickly rising to managerial positions. Ghazal Aghvami also coordinated volunteer opportunities for students at the University of Toronto's English Language Program in 2008. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biology from York University and Full Stack Web Development training from Coder Camps.
