Courtney Slater has a diverse work experience in the field of talent acquisition and employee development. Courtney most recently worked at Avenue Living as the Director of People & Culture and Director of Talent Management. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing talent acquisition for multiple companies within the Avenue Living group. Prior to that, they worked at Mayfair Diagnostics as the Manager of Talent Acquisition & Employee Development, where they implemented a new automated candidate assessment tool and contributed to strategic hiring and workforce planning. Courtney also has experience as a Talent Acquisition Partner and Specialist at Mayfair Diagnostics, where they successfully recruited for various technical positions and managed high-volume recruitment for multiple positions. Additionally, they have worked as an Employee Engagement & Talent Acquisition Specialist at Acrodex and as a Marketing Consultant at Independent Marketing Consultant. Courtney Slater, CTMP, RPR has a solid educational background with a focus on business and event management. Courtney attended NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) from 2005 to 2007, earning a degree in Business Administration with a field of study in Marketing. Later, from 2010 to 2013, they pursued an Event Management Certificate at the same institution, specializing in Meeting and Event Planning.

In addition to their academic achievements, Courtney has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Courtney completed the RPR (Registered Professional Recruiter) certification from the Institute Of Professional Management- IPM in August 2014. Furthermore, they received the PPA DISC Certification from Thomas International in June 2016. In recent years, Courtney has been dedicated to expanding their expertise in talent management and development. Courtney earned the Certified Talent Management Practitioner certification from the Canadian HR Academy in July 2021.
