Bob Lieser has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Bob started their career in 1988 at Midwest Airlines, where they served as the Manager of Flight Standards and Training and also worked as a Captain. In 2009, they established their own consulting firm, Robert A Lieser Consulting, where they worked as the Principle until 2012. From 2010 to 2012, Lieser worked as a Pilot at Virgin America. Bob then joined Allegiant in 2012 and held various roles, including Airbus Captain, Director of Pilot Training and Flight Standards, and Airbus Fleet Manager, until 2022. Currently, Lieser is the System Chief Pilot at Avelo Airlines, a position they started in June 2023.
Bob Lieser attended the University of North Dakota from 1978 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Business Administration. In addition, they have acquired certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration, including Certified Flight Instructor - Airplane Single/Multi Engine Land, Instrument, and Airline Transport Pilot with Type Ratings for A-320, B-737, DC-9, and SA227 aircraft.
