Nate Wiens is an Avant Missionary currently serving as a guidance counselor at Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany, since January 2023, while actively raising support for this mission journey. Prior to this role, Nate accumulated significant coaching experience, including positions as the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country and Adjunct Professor at MidAmerica Nazarene University from September 2014 to August 2022, and as the Associated Head Coach at the University of California, Riverside from September 2013 to September 2014. Earlier coaching roles include Assistant Track Coach at Iowa State University, University of California, Riverside, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney, as well as serving as the Director of Admissions and Assistant Professor at Dayspring Center. Nate holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration/Sports Management from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor's degree in Health/Physical Education/Business from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
