Aldrin Lugena is a scientist at Avance Biosciences, Inc. since September 2022, previously serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from February 2016 to October 2022. At Texas A&M, Aldrin introduced and performed various genomic sequencing techniques to investigate the flight orientation mechanisms in monarch butterflies, while also establishing bioinformatics pipelines for data analysis. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant, where protocol development for ChIP against histone modifications was conducted. Additionally, Aldrin held the position of Upstream Bioprocessing Lab Technician at the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing, contributing to the development of educational materials and serving as a laboratory instructor. Aldrin Lugena earned a Doctorate in Molecular Biology and a Master's Degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines.
