John Cowan is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in advisory and board roles. Currently serving as a Board Advisor at the Autonomy Institute since January 2023, John provides strategic guidance to the governance team on private and public sector matters. As Managing Partner at Next Wave Partners since May 2022, John drives innovation and strategy with a dedicated team. A founding member of 6fusion, where John has been a Board Member since May 2010, over $30M has been raised to further technology and intellectual property initiatives. Additionally, as Director at Requis since January 2019, John has fostered a technology and IP spin-out in collaboration with Worley Parsons. John's entrepreneurial spirit is evident in the co-founding of an award-winning edge computing platform, which secured over $12M to fund its development. John holds a BAH in History & Politics from Queen's University, completed in 1998.
