Jim Colson is currently a Board Member at Autonomy Institute. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Cubic Corporation from January 2019 to December 2021. Jim has also previously worked with SecurityGate.io and IBM.

At IBM, they served as an IBM Fellow and VP of CTO Watson Customer Engagement. In this role, they were responsible for transforming over 220 products into 3 integrated SaaS platforms targeting LoB buyers in Commerce, Marketing, and Supply Chain. Jim also led a team of 40+ data scientists and engineers to create a set of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities delivered as part of the simplified platforms. In addition, they created a community centered, self-serve developer experience for the platforms.

Jim Colson has extensive experience in product and technology strategy, driving key leaders across all disciplines to transform products into well-defined platforms. Jim is also skilled in differentiating with AI and modernizing developer experiences. Jim's work has led to renewal and profit improvements through automation that correlates feature level usage & customer sentiment.

Jim Colson has a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Jim also has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
