Rachel McRoberts is an experienced mobile engineer with a strong background in software quality and translation. Currently at Automattic since April 2013, Rachel has contributed to the WooCommerce mobile app, taking on roles from happiness engineer to their current position as a mobile engineer specializing in iOS development. Responsibilities have included feature development, maintenance, automated testing, and project leadership. Prior experience includes Spanish to English translation for McRoberts Translations, where certification was achieved, and instructing translation students at UCSD Extension. Rachel also managed communications for Malashock Dance and conducted research on language and identity during graduate studies at UC San Diego. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Anthropology and a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Anthropology/Sociology.
