Leila Mekkaoui is an experienced researcher in the field of gene therapy and cancer research, currently serving as Associate Director at Autolus Ltd. since November 2018, following roles as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist. Prior to this, Leila Mekkaoui worked at the UCL Cancer Institute from January 2013 to September 2018, where responsibilities included positions as Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Gene Therapy from UCL (2014-2017), a Master of Science (MSc) in Cancer Research from UCL (2011-2012), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honors in Molecular Biology from The University of Manchester (2008-2011).
